 Feature-Request: Auto-Bounce-Management - 2008/05/29 15:01 Hi,

Bounce-Management was one of the main reasons why we chose "SM2 Email Marketing".

I have to add that we moved from emailbrain.com to this solutions due to the high costs and the little flexibility; So our expectation was an automatic bounce handling without any need for user interaction. It took me some time to get it working (looking at the forum I haven't been the only one) and I think that the included bounce management is a compromise, making at least one vital click on the "bounces" menu-item necessary.

I do see the use of the bounce-table, but I rather call it a drawback that without that one click no bounce processing is done at all.
Do you see any chance of enhancing the bounce management by means of a separate (NON-JOS) php-file which does the bounce-processing and can be included in the servers Cron-Tab (or JCron Scheduler for those with limited access)

It is due to the inflexibilty of Joomla! and the coding standards that go along with it that we do NOT have any automated processes in SM2 Email Marketing at this time.

We are looking at the possibility of a future redevelopment that will allow the product to run both in and outside of Joomla! and thereby make it much easier to implement automated processes.
