Subscribing via external HTML page - 2008/07/01 11:05 I'm running SM2 marketing on my customers' site, which is a county site. They would like to be able to sign up subscribers via an external HTML page in one of their departmental pages (it hasn't been ported into the new design yet, and probably won't for a while due to budgets). The software would run and be managed in the site I purchased it for, they'd just like to have a signup page on this external HTML page that will let folks sign up.

Hope someone has an idea, I'm going to keep exploring and try to figure it out......

Thanks,

Re:Subscribing via external HTML page - 2008/10/25 09:36 OK, I've found, thanks to Tony, how to do this.

Here is how:

1. Install the signup module.
2. Customize the display.tpl file to make your signup box look like you wish.
3. Go to your page with the sign up box and open the source code.
4. Copy the source code and paste it into your HTML page where you want the box to show.
5. In configuration in your Joomla site, turn off the spoofing protection so the sign up can go through.

Thanks Tony, you've a fantastic program here!! This is my software of choice for all my clients who wish to use newsletters.
