 specific email users - 2008/05/22 22:05 Hi there
I've implemented Joomla Community Builder on my site, and I would like to install this component with it.

I have a specific request whereby I have to choose users from a specified postcode, suburb, or organisation. These 3 fields are custom fields set in Joomla CB. I would also like to search all the users who are signed up to my website, according to these filters.

Once I have narrowed a search down (eg. postcode 6000), then i want to send those specific users, an email.

Is this possible with this product?

 Re:specific email users - 2008/06/06 15:16 SM2 Email Marketing only allows filtering of Community Builder users based on the following custom field types
Select List
Checkbox
Radio

We do not support filtering based on any Text types of fields. This is because a simple typo by either the user or the administrator sending the email will result in some users not be sent to.
i.e. if for postcode someone accidentally enter 60000 rather than 6000 they will not be found.
