When does SM2EM go native? - 2009/03/13 23:24 SM2 Email looks great but I'm concerned that it's in legacy mode for 1.5.x

Is there going to be a version for 1.5 or not?
If so when?

I can't afford to incur the slow down that running in legacy mode creates along with other issues.

Re:When does SM2EM go native? - 2009/03/27 16:49 I rang SM2 about when this would be upgraded and was asked to post my question here

I've done so and obviously no one checks the forum or
there is nothing in the pipeline to have this run native in J1.5.x

Sadly it looks like I go somewhere else .. I love what it can do but not unless it's native or has the chance to do so.

Re:When does SM2EM go native? - 2009/03/29 00:33 Hello,

some information about the plan to go to 1.5 native would be fine....
1.6 is on the way and don't support legacy... (just a legacy for 1.5 native).

A feedback sometimes in this forum would also be nice...

Re:When does SM2EM go native? - 2009/03/30 23:35 As has been noted in this forum several time the forum is a Community Forum. As a result we do not make announcements in th forum until they are ready

At this stage I can say we are working on Joomla! 1.5 native versions of our products. As for time lines all I can say is they will be ready when they are ready. We will place notices on our website when the products are nearing completion and a firm release date can be given.

Re:When does SM2EM go native? - 2009/03/30 23:46 Ok so things are getting warmer which is great
I don't think anyone is fussed about absolute time lines but a firm and public commitment to "Native before 1.6" would be a great start.

This is all about confidence building, nothing more. The cost of your component isn't the issue ... it's the time to move from the current solution we are using to yours ... then if you don't deliver on time then there is another cost to move yet again.

This is a real conundrum for software developers I know but given the quality of your offering many would come onboard with such a commitment.

Oh BTW your phone mail box is full

This was last addressed in March so with j1.0 officially dead and 1.6 due in less than 60 days is there anything new on a j1.5 or J1.6 native version? This is the last component I have left before we can switch off j1.0 legacy mode.

I understand your communication policy but regardless of that, I would think good customer communication is expected for commercial products.

Have you set the price for the up grade version yet?

Re:SM2EM j1.6 native? - 2009/07/07 15:32 As indicated previously we are working on a new version of SM2 Email Marketing.

I can say that it will be version independant and therefore will be able to run eventually on Joomla 1.0, 1.5 and 1.6 as well as possibly some other CMS as well, and maybe even stand alone.

Since this will be an entirely new product it is likely that it will cost to upgrade, however a discount may be available for a limited time.

Re:SM2EM j1.6 native? - 2009/08/05 00:46 Hello,
sounds great... Hope the release date is not to far away...
The development here seems not very fast at the moment...
No updates since a lot of month's.
