CB registration - SM2 fields not showing up - 2007/03/22 17:21 Hello,

We are using Joomla 1.0.12 Virtuemart ecommerce version and have added Community Builder 1.0.2 and SM2 1.0.4.1.

I have published the SM2 plugin in CB but I am not seeing any SM2 fields in the CB User Management user records.

This knowledgebase item: http://www.sm2joomla.com/component/option,com_sm2wrapper/Itemid,114/_a,viewarticle/kbarticleid,21/

has the following text:
Note: The solution to this feature disables all List selection. This means that all user are limited to using the Lists that are setup in the templates and no others.
This feature is however not supported in the Community Builder Plugin. Use of the SM2 Email Marketing plugin in Community Builder will allow CB Users to select their own lists and HTML/Text.

So according to this, if I publish the SM2 CB plugin I should then have the ability for users to specify which lists they would like to signup for and to be able to select if they want HTML or plain text emails. Neither is happening for us. What else do you have to do in order to get this to work?

Thanks.

The knowledgebase article that you referenced only talks about setting up autosubscription using the SM2 Email Marketing template files.

To enable the CB plugin you need to ensure that the plugin in CB is published. You should also be sure that it is set to public access.

You then also need to make sure that the SM2 Email Marketing tab is published and in a suitable position. We recommend it is placed in the Main Area.

Once this is done there should be a tab display under the profile that contains the SM2 Email Marketing information.

Note that you need to edit the profile to be able to edit the SM2 Email Marketing Options.

If you find that this is still not working please log a helpdesk ticket supplying as much information as possible.

Hope this helps
Tony

Re:CB registration - SM2 fields not showing up - 2007/03/22 18:45 Hello,

Thank you so much for that quick response. Publishing the SM2 tab was the step that I was missing. Now everything looks like it is working as expected.
